  4. Kyber Knight Capital, a newly founded venture capital firm, announced a $120M fund to invest in pre-seed and seed-stage gaming and tech companies
  5. MTG has acquired Warhammer 40,000: Tactics studio Snowprint
  6. Nodwin Gaming’s Singapore arm acquires PublishME
  7. Creative UK has introduced Creative Growth Finance II, a new £35M investment fund.
  8. Bytro secures €2 million in funding
  9. a16z to invest up to $75 million in game and tech startups

2nd week:

  1. Sony Ventures to invest $10M via new fund for African startups

3rd and 4th week :

  1. Metacore to acquire Merge Mansion and Clash of Clans animators studio Piñata
  2. Riot, Wizards of the Coast, and Phoenix Labs vets form Jam & Tea Studios to build multiplayer RPG using generative AI, The studio has raised $3.15M in seed funding
  3. King and EA vets form The Experimentation Group
  4. Appointments for The Experimentation Group are free, so long as a studio has a mobile casual game with more than 10,000 active users, can “ship a small experiment in two weeks or less,” and is happy to share updates and the lessons it’s learnt with the consultancy group and the industry.
  5. Gamester Kids has raised $850,000K in funding
  6. Noodle Cat Games raises $12m in Series A funding round
  7. Fragbite to acquire Fall Damage
  8. Copresence raises $6M for 3D avatar creation platform
  9. Zeedz.io raises $1M and launches climate change game on mobile devices

  3. Tencent acquires two million shares in Goddess of Victory: Nikke makers Shift Up
  4. Playbite has raised $1 million to bring back the magic of arcades on mobile gaming devices.
