Investment round-up, with a list of studios that got funded in the Aug 4th /Sept 1st week:

  1. Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has entered a deal to purchase audio technology company Audeze
  2. NPCx raises $3M for better game character mocap

Sept 2nd and 3rd week:

  1. Series AI raises $7.9m for AI games engine
  2. Rascal Games raises $4.2m for multiplayer adventure game
  3. Mythic Protocol raises $6.5M toward blockchain, collaboration and cross-platform ambitions
  4. Zynga, FunPlus, and NetEase veterans receive $8M investment for NFT dinosaur game
  5. Playtika set to acquire Innplay Labs for up to $300 million
  6. Chaos announced its acquisition of AXYZ design
  7. Animoca Brands raises $20 million towards a new metaverse project, Mocaverse
  8. Nazara to raise Rs 410 crore ($49M) from SBI MF, plans to expand into blockchain
  9. GamePhilos raises $8M for mobile strategy game Age of Dino.
  10. Atari acquires AtariAge, a news site
  11. Soedesco acquires Kyodai
  12. Sumo Group acquires UK developer Midoki to boost live service skills
  13. Humble Games aims for studio acquisitions and in-house development
  14. Beat the Bomb raises $15 million in Series B funding
